When the Playstation 3D TV was first unveiled at the E3 conference many people were saying it would be a better move then the Playstation Vita concept.  The main draw on this new 3D TV is that it is 24 inches and should only cost $400.00! It will also via a recent firmware update allow your Playstation 3 to play 3D games and enjoy all of the content!

The Playstation 3D TV is equipped with edge LED backlight and active-shutter 3D technologies, the Playstation 3D LCD monitor/ TV features the company’s proprietary “SimulView” functionality which allows two players to view two different full-screen pictures on the same screen, which is likely to contribute to a more exciting multiplayer gaming experience. To enjoy this feature both players will have to wear compatible 3D eyewear. Don’t worry about it though when you by the TV Sony will be including two pairs of 3D glasses.

The official announcement of an October release came from the Gamescom 2011 trade fair in Cologne, Germany this week. It will be launching in the UK for $499 in the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand around October.
