Recent finding reveal a respectable 6.6 million 3D LCD TVs were sold during the third quarter of this year. This is supposedly a very appreciable figure for the firms that invest in the 3D technology.

The figures have increased by 27 percent since the last quarter. The rise in the sales of the 3D glasses has been equally appreciable. As far as the present festive season is concerned more and more sales have been estimated.

A recent NPD Display Search report has revealed that the panel constitutors are aiming 30 percent increase in 3D LCD TV panel shipments for Q4 this year. Moreover mainly the downstream brands and manufacturers are promoting and advertising 3D. Consequently the awareness and interests are increasing at the user end.

This proves that consumers are actually looking forward to more 3D products at their abodes. Folks are actually waiting for more and more 3D Blue-ray films released or streaming 3D options to be released this coming year. As the demand for the technology is increasing the movies, displays, and Blue-ray players should be available at much more reduced rates so that they can be easily accessible. Moreover with the development of the technology a much wider range of choices must be available to the users.

However the overall popularity of the LCDs has hardly increased despite of more sales. This shows that demand for the product has increased though the industry is yet to show any growth.

A steady increase in the sales of both LCD TVs and glasses has been observed while more development in the sales are being expected in the coming months.
