3D Yankees-Mariners Telecasts

YES channel is covering the New York Yankees versus Seattles Mariners games to be held this week. The channel is providing the digital feed in an enhanced format at the local Best Buy Outlets where one can buy Cox services. For those customers of Com Communications residing at Connecticut and do not have a 3D TV as yet this feed would be available for them at the Best Buy outlets.

Cox has been advertising for its customers without 3D TV sets to go to the retailer’s show rooms in Manchester and Meridian this Sunday and watch the sports events to be telecast in 3D on July 10 and 11. Cox would be telecasting the regional sports as they are one of the eight distributors of the telecast rights.

Roger Sokolosky VP of sales , Coz New England stated that “Cox is excited to offer our customers this unique viewing opportunity, and we also feel privileged to host anyone interested in checking out the 3D Yankees experience through our great partnership with Best Buy YES is providing baseball coverage like no one has seen before.”

For those who wish to view the Yankees on YES 3D at home, they would need a 3D TV along with an HD or HD/DVR receiver. Along with the 3D glass supplied by the TV manufacturer there would be need to also connect the 3D TV with an HDMI cable and tuning on to channel 784. One would also need to change the setting to 3D format or 3D mode on their respective TV for the actual viewing.

The recent programs that have been aired in 3D format over Coz services have been the Yankee vs. Mariners ball games from the Safeco Field in Seattle. In the month of April ESPN presented the Augusta National Golf Club tournament live in 3D format.

There would also be the Cox, Yes’s projection of the Yankee versus Mariners game in 3D format to be carried by Direct TV, Verizon FiOS, Comcast, Cablevision, Time Warner Cable, Blue Ridge Communications and Service Electric Broadband Cable which falls within Bronx Bombers’ TV territory of New York state and Connecticut, north and central New Jersey, and northeast Pennsylvania.

FSN Northwest is covering all the games and streaming the signal to viewers in 3D. Comast is doing the same throughout Washington and Time Warner Cable in the eastern part of the state.
