Vizio to enter the 3D TV Market

Television manufacturer Vizio has jumped on the 3D train by announcing that they plan to show their next generation of 3D HDTVs at CEA Line Shows in New York City which starts today.
The new 3D TV’s will be 42, 47″ and 55″ featuring LED backlights, with “Smart Dimming” technology. Localized dimming helps improve the contrast ratio of the display and yields a better image. They will also utilize the new wireless connectivity features to connect to devices such as set top boxes and Blu-ray players. The Refresh rate will be great as well, around 480 HZ.
The Television is set to be released in Q4 of this year. Below is a copy of their press release sent out today.
VIZIO XVT 3D HDTVs
On display at VIZIO’s CEA Line Show are their new 3D HDTVs. Two of its 3D televisions offer an Active 3D HDTV solution with their TruLED backlighting. The 55″ and 47″ direct full array TruLED with Smart Dimming™ Active 3D HDTVs incorporate a frame sequential display and active-shutter glasses that work together with VIZIO’s 480Hz SPS™ high frame rate technology with Smooth Motion for amazing 3D images. They also feature an integrated WirelessHD™ receiver for a wireless connection with HD source devices such as a Set-top box and Blu-ray player connected to a WirelessHD™ receiver that is sold separately.
VIZIO’s 42″ XVT 3D HDTV produces stunning 3D images with VIZIO’s Razor LED™ backlighting with Smart Dimming and incorporates a frame sequential display and active-shutter glasses that work together with VIZIO’s 480Hz SPS high frame rate technology with Smooth Motion. All three models will be shipping in Q4 2010.
