Unitymedia unveils 3D channel

Unitymedia, which is the second largest cable operator in Germany have launched a new 3D channel. The program is available on channel 99, free of any charge at the moment and showcases the world in a 3D angle.

Short video clippings of events like sports, cartoon shows, documentaries are being showcased in the channel. There is also information on the 3D subject being showcased through the “Unitymedia Magazine” in 3D format. The Cologne Cathedral has also been depicted in 3D format giving it an all new perspective. The other clippings of interest are the ski racing event from Kitzbühel, a piano concert with pianist Lang Lang, Motor GP race event as well as other movie trailers in 3D format.

One requires an HD receiver along with a 3D TV set and 3D glasses for viewing the programs on this channel.
