Ultra-D to Introduce New Tech at CES that Promises Glasses-free 3D TV
The well known firm, Stream TV Networks is contributing a new technology to the 3D world which would convert 2D contents into 3D stereoscopic images all by itself without the help of the adaptive glasses.
The product dubbed Ultra-D would be launched at CES 2012. The technology is expected to help 3D lovers get rid of the other roadblocks just as it helped them to get rid of the heavy glasses that had to be worn whether one likes it or not.
“Our ultimate goal was to create a solution that addresses existing concerns impeding the adoption of 3D—consumer aversion to expensive glasses, viewer discomfort, variance in individual vision and preference and the slow creation of 3D content,” said CEO Mathu Rajan.
He also added that the newly developed technology would also work with including Blu-ray, DVD, PC gaming, Internet, cable and satellite.
Ultra-D would now permit its customers to adjust the “3D effect” they wish to have. With the help of the technology the contents have now become adjustable. To obtain the optimal picture as per their tastes they can now adjust the contents and its quality as when required.
According to Rajan, Ultra-D would successfully pull up the sagging sales and make up for the losses.
PhysOrg.com in its latest releases reported that as per the survey conducted by Retrevo it was revealed that 55 percent of HDTV purchasers in 2012 have complained about the scanty content available and the need for the bulky expensive glasses.
