Sony PlayStation 3D TV Hits UK
The E3 PlayStation from Sony had made it to the US market last year. The 3D TV had been made specifically for playing those games that required a 3D perspective to add zing to its playing interest. It’s been a year and now the Playstation has made it to the UK market as well to enthrall gamers and TV viewers alike.
The device boasts of a 24 inch full HD LED back lit display. The compact dimensions make it just perfect for taking anywhere in the house to play and be engrossed in the game. The display incorporates SimulView technology which is Sony centric and is the first display from the company to come equipped with the technology. Two players need to put on two eyeglasses and they each will be presented with images pertaining to them. The console comes with two pairs of 3D viewing glasses and the entire set-up is so designed that the same display will serve two distinct images viewable from their respective glasses. There however is the power button on the glasses pressing which can let the users to switch views.
The 3D glasses are based on 3D Active shutter technology and boasts of a resolution of 1080 pixels. The 3D experience is further enhanced with a nice refresh rate of 240 Hz. Another interesting piece of enhancement is the USB slot that glasses include, and just a few minutes of charging is all that it takes to allow for three hours of play.
The PlayStation package is inclusive of 3D games such as Killzone 3 and Gran Turismo 5. This will get you started with the sumulview tech which reveals crisp and clear images for both viewers. Other games that are compatible with the siumlview tech include Motorstorm Apocalypse and Super Stardust HD and can be played on the Playstation 3D TV with ease. More such games are in the making.
To switch to split screen mode there is a button on the display. One needs to select other options thereafter to set the eye position. All in all the sleek Playstation device is quite a serious product for gamers to consider.
There is a lot of progress being made in the 3D gaming world so far as games per se is considered. There is Uncharted 3, Batman: Arkham City and even House Of The Dead: Overkill to name a few. Upcoming titles includes Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and LBP Karting are some that are soon to be released. Right now the only retarding factor is the cost of these games. Most of them come at £349 for a second hand piece at Amazon.
