Electronics major Sharp has revealed that they too are joining the 3D TV segment, the next big thing in television technology. The company also announced that their offering will be a bit different than most other 3D TVs in that they will be the first to come out with the four-primary-color 3D LCD TV, and will begin shipping from the second half of this year.

As it is with most other 3D TVs, you will also be required to wear special glasses to have the full 3D effect with this TV, which company sources has said will feature a screen that will be a lot more bright than what competitors have to offer.

Another unique feature of the new Sharp 3D TV is that the TV will have the Sharp’s side-mount scanning LED backlight technology that helps in reducing corsstalk – a common problem in 3D TVs that lead to the formation of ghost images even when viewed through the glasses.

So, plenty of action coming up in the 3D TV scene.
