Its yet not the time we can say the glasses that are required for viewing 3D format on a 3D TV has become an indispensable accessory in every home. Rather, that seems a long way off. The popularity chart of 3D TV is yet quite low in ranking though one can find solace in the fact that its picking up and there is a need of the glasses to view them. The demand for 3D glassed in turn has led to third party 3D viewing glass makers to set up shop and make their presence felt.

Sansa is one such company and they have struck the sweet spot right away by having developed a 3D glass that they claim is a universal one. What this means is that the glass made by Sansa will be compatible with any 3D TV of any make which is in contrast to the usual practice of there being a specific glass that should be used to view the 3D TV from a particular manufacturer that it comes associated with. One could therefore use the glass from Sansa to view 3D pictures on a 3D TV made by either Sony or Panasonic or Toshiba or Sharp.

Also, another good aspect of the universal glass is that the cost of the glass too has been kept low at $100 for a pair. Recharging of the glass can be done through a USB cable and they have even come out with the glasses in different sizes – small, medium and large. An additional feature of a nose piece makes this glass easier to wear for those who wear spectacles.
