TÜV Rheinland is considered Europe’s most trusted certification units. This institute has awarded the “Full HD 3D tested” and “3D tested” certificates to Samsung brand for its Smart TV models. This was announced by Samsung themselves. The certificate requires the set to pass exhaustive testing as per VESA or ISO 2D standards. The sets would also have been checked for contrast, crosstalk and other integral features of a high-quality 3D TV. One is expected to get a complete 3D viewing experience with a set that has been so certified by this institute.

This is for the first time that a set has been tested for so many types of qualities at once. Samsungs Smart TV therefore has broken ground by passing all these tests simultaneously. Other institutes that have tested other 3D TV have dome for some limited features only.

With these test the set from Samsung is expected to give 1080p picture quality as well as other 3D features. It would therefore be a full 3d HD viewing experience that viewers on this TV would have.

Such sets would be easily recognizable by the TÜV Rheinland’s “Full HD 3D tested” and “3D tested” logos that would be stamped on these sets. There is the Samsung 46 inch D8000 LED TV set which has been tested for these certificates.

Yoon-Soon Ahn, vice president of Research and Development, Samsung Electronics said, “These certificates from such respected certification institutes such as TÜV Rheinland reaffirm Samsung’s endeavors to deliver the best full HD 3D TV experience. As the leading global TV manufacturer, we are committed to developing the best TVs to meet what consumers really want.”

TÜV Rheinland has 25 years of experience in this field of certification and is considered of highest repute in Europe.

Lutz Lehmann, vice president Global Sales and Marketing, TÜV Rheinland said, “As new types of 3D and TV technology rapidly develop, certification institutes and TV manufacturers worldwide have recognized the need to ensure that consumers receive accurate and trusted information on new technology. With our independent 3D tested certification and TÜV Rheinland’s global brand recognition, we are sure that the 3D TV technology will get a high consumer acceptance internationally.”

Established in 1872, TÜV Rheinland Group has been offering global certification service with approximately 140 years of history and know-how. With its headquarters located in Germany, 37 industries come under the ambit of this firm’s certification process
