Nick Nolte claims 3D TV will lead to psychotic states
Actor Nick Nolte made a very surprising comment while launching a new television show saying the viewers of 3D have the chance of being afflicted with “psychotic breaks”.
The show was a conglomeration of Television Critics Association members and the main topic of discussion was on the changes that the motion pictures were experiencing as it moved towards TV centric shows and away from what was called the silver screen.
Hollywood Reporter who covered the event quotes Nolte as saying “3D disconnects the eyeball, the lenses from the brain. It’s like the brain itself is creating the hallucination of 3D. They’re going to find out six hours of 3D TV will cause psychotic breaks. Australia is doing the research. I can just tell you that.”
Luck, which is a television show that has made big waves and that is not just because it has a glittery line up of actors. There is Dustin Hoffman, writer/producer David Milch, director/producer Michael Mann and Nolte too in the cast crew.
Nolte has not been known to be very critical about his opinion of 3D. As such, the comments from Nolte can be seen as the harbinger of a new line of films where the man rising into a mad one could be the theme.
