New Samsung 3D TV Boasts Of Gesture Controlled Angry Birds
The ES9000 3D TV is the latest addition to Samsung’s 3D capable Smart TV line up. The 3D TV is as smart in its capabilities as it is enthralling with its looks. The design features of note for the LED based 75 inch set is the 0.31 inch or 0.78 cm curved bezel. There are also lots of onboard features that make this the device to be hooked on to. But the real take away feature of the 3D TV is perhaps the gesture controlled Angry Birds game that the set come preloaded with. This technology is new and adds some extra zing to the game play. Samsung have intimated that the feature would soon be ported to their Plasma 8000 model as well as the 7500 LED model.
The features that make this set from Samsung a premium category offering are the camera which is integrated into the set and is required for apps like Skype. There is also the Micro Dimming Ultimate feature which is Samsung’s custom developed app as well as the Precision Black Local Dimming technology which the 3D TV comes incorporated with. Advanced technological features which the set comes with are facial recognition software, gesture control and voice control. The set would also have Facebook and game of Tetris incorporated into it right out of the box. However, all of these adds on to the price of the set too and tags it at USD 9,999.
Samsung is giving away four pair of viewing glasses included in the total price of the set. For Audio, the set comes with Sound Share capability that can be used to share the audio via Bluetooth with a host Wireless Audio Dock accessories that Samsung has on offer. Samsung is also claiming the ES9000 to have the best picture quality amongst all its other LED TV sets.
With the features that this set boasts of, Samsung has indicated its commitment to further the Smart TV concept and exuded confidence in being able to hold on to the top slot in this field for days to come. However, the other company that is making its advances in this field is Apple with its iTV which could give Samsung something to think about.
However, the ES9000 is restricted in the US market alone as of now where it would be up for reckoning from August. Availability of the set in other markets has not yet been confirmed by Samsung though price of the 3D TV could be one good reason for it to be an exclusive product.
