Low-cost 3D TV on offer from Virgin Media

The race for 3D format signals being aired for reception by TV sets has been won by Virgin Media. They have defeated their closest rival Sky in this battle of air.
Virgin Media have launched their service named 3D Movie on Demand since Sept 28th 2010. Virgin Media subscribers therefore do not have to go anywhere else but watch 3D movies right from the comfort of their own home.
There are certain basic peripherals that one requires to have the capability of viewing the 3D signal. For one there is need of a 3D capable TV set. There is in addition a V HD or V+HD box required. With the 3D glasses perched on the nose one can then view movies like StreetDance 3D at home on TV.
There is assurance form Virgin Media that the number of 3D programs being aired would increase as the subscription for the same increases.
The cost of the packages is not anything more than the cost of the standard packages that Virgin Media offers as of now. Watching a movie in 3D at home would be an experience that cannot be compared with watching the same movie in 2D.
3D movies on demand would cost the viewer just £5 per month, in addition to the standard package charge for the home phone line rental which works out to be £11 per month.
They have also an offer in which the amount includes with it Virgin Media’s MN TV and landline as well. The V+HD box also comes included in the price. There are a wide range of channels that are available thereafter right from BBC and Channel 4.
For weekends the subscriber would get unlimited calls to UK within that charge. There is however an installation fee of £49 which can be considered given the value additions that the package offers.
