LG to introduce new stylish all-purpose 3D TV glasses next year
It is the look and feel of the glasses that one needs to sport while watching a 3D picture on 3D TV that has emerged as a prime factor to dog the 3D TV world. Be it at home or at a theater, people usually use the 3D feature to watch a movie. However, wearing these cumbersome glasses takes off quite a bit of the fun that is associated with 3D viewing. LG however is planning to change the scene with glasses that they are coming up with in association with Alain Mikli who have quite a name in the eyewear section.
The glasses that they plan to come up with would be such that one can wear them even in public places and not just in the confines of the home or theater. It would not add any special effect while wearing it in normal work place, but the person would not look stupid wearing the glass in the place of work. There is also a clip-on device that LG is coming up with that could be added to the existing glasses that a person wears which will ensure the same set of glasses remains as relevant in front of a 3D TV as well.
The new glasses are expected to be coming up in the first quarter of 2012 which is also when the price of the glasses would be made known.
