LG Cinema 3D TV Gets ‘Green Mark’ For Eco-friendly Qualities
The 47LM7600 is the CINEMA 3D TV model from LG Electronics that has been accorded the Green Mark from TUV Rheinland, making it the first TV set to have been accorded such a certification.
The certification indicates that the product conforms to the strict guidelines that have been laid down by TÜV Rheinland so far as environment friendliness aspects of the product is concerned. The inspection agency TÜV Rheinland is known to have laid down high standards to be adhered to for getting their certification. How efficient the product is so far as consumption of energy goes as also levels of hazardous chemicals that have been used and the carbon footprint of the product is all checked during the certification process.
Head of LG Electronics’ LCD TV Research and Development Lab Il-geun Kwon said, “The Green Mark is validation that the effort we put behind the 47LM7600 has not gone unnoticed by industry experts. LG engineers believe very strongly that producing a great TV requires more than just a fantastic picture and superb design. It also has to operate with as little impact on the environment as possible.”
LG has developed its technology to using the slim bezel design with which the 47LM76t00 model has been built. It makes the set substantially lighter by about 14 percent and also reduces energy consumption by 20 percent. This model from LG has also been accorded the Climatop and Ecoflower labels earlier this year.
Kwon further added, “Manufacturers are aggressively moving into eco-friendly technologies to meet the growing demand from consumers who are interested in products that leave the smallest environmental footprint and reduce energy costs. LG is committed to developing products that minimize their effect on our surroundings and certification from experts like TÜV is proof that we’re meeting and often surpassing industry standards.”
