LG haven’t been shy in showing off their upcoming 3D HDTV range, but so far the company has been keeping pricing close to their chest. With the LCD sets’ debut on Amazon, however, all that has changed; we now know that the mid-range LX6500 series will be priced from $2,699.99.

That gets you the 47-inch LG 47LX6500; for $3,599.99 you can have the 55-inch LG 55LX6500. Amazon don’t have any release information to guide us on when we might expect the two sets to begin shipping; originally we heard it would take place in the second week of May, but that’s obviously been and gone.

Both HDTVs support Full HD 1080p resolution, TruMotion 240Hz, LG NetCast internet-connected widgets and streaming, and a 20W speaker system. Of course we imagine it’s the 3D capabilities that most buyers will be looking for; for that you’ll also need LG’s shutter glasses for everyone watching, which cost $125.
