Microsoft and Stereolize is presenting a 234-inch (diagonal) touch screen display that would be the biggest wall display we ever came across. The product was created for the CeBit event last year though daily usage of such a product would be difficult because of its sheer bulk. However, on the other hand stands Ideum — a Mexican based firm which has officially declared the launch of their all new 65-inch 3D wall mounted multi touch display called the MT65 Presenter.

MT65 is equipped with a solid state optical multi touch sensor that provides as many as 32 simultaneous touch points on its three millimeter clear tempered glass surface along with a response time of seven milliseconds (plus or minus). The display is capable of delivering flicker free FPR 3D imaging. It also gives a 178 degree viewing angle that the firm boasts to have 9,000,000:1 contrast ratio apart from 500 cd/sq m brightness at 120 Hz. The display has been placed on a bracket made out of aircraft grade aluminum and cold rolled steel.

Additionally the wall display also features a HDMI in/out, Ethernet LAN and USB 2.0 ports to the right. A webcam equipped with Carl Zeiss optics and a stereo microphone has been placed in the bezel that is placed at the top of the display. In order to secure the ports an additional locking plate has also been provided.

Apart from all these the display also features an Intel Core i7 2720QM quad-core processor at 2.2 GHz, 8 GB DDR3 RAM over two slots, NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 460 graphics with 1 GB of memory and 256 GB of solid state storage. And wait the list isn’t over yet as Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi wireless connectivity are also part of the package. It would run Windows 7 Professional 64-bit edition along with a special version of Linux that is to be released this March. Moreover with a single click you can switch on or off the blue LED backlighting. Just like its earlier model, MT55model, this upgraded version of a television too comes with an integrated air cooling system.

This 40 x 63 x 4 inch (1,016 x 1,600 x 101 mm) MT65Presenter weighing 185 pound (84 kg) and is available at a number of colors and designs at for US$17,450. It comes compatible with a universal VESA wall mount. And this is not all as a Bluetooth keyboard with integrated trackpad also comes compatible with the display to interface with the computer system along with included GestureWorks 3 software development kit and demo applications.
