Good3DTV IFA 2010 Exclusive: The 3DTV story of the IFA so far

The IFA event witnessed Samsung unveiling their Galaxy Tab model. People from Samsung demonstrated the various features of the tablet PC and this they did in presence and for the press to record. Print outs of the features and its operations are available on T3’s hands-on images. They also unveiled the largest 3D LED TV to date, the Samsung UN65C8000 which comes with a price tag of £5000. Not last of the surprise sprung by Samsung at the event they also went on to show the HD HMX-T10 1080p camcorder which has a 20 degree lens angle and best suited for shooting HD footage without any strain.

Then there is the Philips phenomenon by the name Cinema 21:9 Platinum 3D TV. This is one of the coolest 3D TV doing the rounds as on date. The TV has a 21:9 aspect ratio which gives a very near to real life effect on the display characters.

The IFA also witnessed the entry of the German Company Loewe into the 3D TV market with their concept TV which they unveiled at the IFA. The set even though at the concept stage resembles a high art piece rather than a LED HD 3DTV which it is finally to be. Along with this TV Loewe also launched three other new products at the IFA.

Sharp has added the 3D factor to their HD Quattron series and the first of this transformed product was unveiled at the IFA as the 3D HDTV the Sharp 3D Quattron TV from Sharp. By using the technology in which one extra yellow color is added to the existing range of colors Sharp has been able to make the display a brighter and clearer business which gets better effect when it comes to 3D format of content.

On its turn Toshiba launched the Folio 100 Tablet which is supposed to be the iPad rival and Toshiba hopes are pinned on this product to be able to give it a firm standing. The gadget runs on the Android 2.2 OS and its speed is to give the rivals a big run for their money specially the Galaxy Tab from Samsung. The gadget is just 10.1 inch by size. Toshiba also released a 3D TV, the first from the company and named it REGZA WL 3D series. The REGAZ series includes the VL range which is a high end HD LED set and is based around the WL 3D TV’s but without 3D compatibility. It rather aims at giving higher specs of 1080p in its display quality.
