BBC Will Broadcast 2012 London Olympics in 3D Format
BBC is going to bring the Olympics to be held in London this year in 3D. However, its not the entire sporting extravaganza that would be brought live in 3D but some of the events like the opening and closing ceremony, as also the men’s 100 meters final would be shown in 3D format. Every night the capsule program that is telecast of the days event would also be in 3D is what BBC themselves have announced.
BBC had brought the 2011 Wimbledon events in 3D to the people. The 2012 Olympics events also would be a trial run for BBC. There was also the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ that BBC had telecast in 3D.
To watch in 3D users must have a 3D capable TV set and subscription for the BBC HD Channel. For those who wish to see in HD only, BBC would telecast the program on their BBC HD and HHC One HD channels.
