Astronauts have produced the first ever live 3D Video and Images from space! In the entire 50 years that NASA has been doing space exploration this is the first time the agency dabbled in live 3D.

Earlier in the month astronaut Ron Garan used a Stereoscopic 3D camera to film the interior of the International Space Station. He then streamed the images live and gave viewers a chance for a more hands on tour of the station.

“The camera could also be used in the future outside the ISS to support the astronauts’ spacewalks or other critical robotic operations,” said ERB-2 co-ordinator Massimo Sabbatini.

Right now in order to get the most out of the video you will need the blue/red glasses. Check it out! I would love for more 3D video of space walks and 3D views of the planets
