All programs can’t be watched in 3D

The startling revelation stems out of the system that is currently being employed to convert 2D broadcasts into a kind of pseudo-3D which is achieved by the use of complex maths that acts to what can be termed as sort of ‘guesstimate’ the distances between two objects present on the screen and also technically speaking, tweaking the image digitally so as to create an illusion of depth.

All of this makes the 3D business as one that’s steeped with seemingly impossible complexity where the need of the hour is immense processing power. Even then, what comes out in the end is not impressive enough that can justify the sheer amount of effort that has gone into it. Reason? The outcome seems to lack that all important natural look and feel. And that’s not all for all the digital guesswork that goes into the making of the 3D content falls a little wide, thus making it appear totally absurd at times. So as of now, its definitely recommended to enjoy the 2D effect on the go while waiting for 3D technology to mature even more.
