3net to introduce 3D programms for kids

The “3net Three Dee Kids” Saturday and Sunday lineup will premiere on the 1st of October. Among the programs to be aired include a new animated 3D series include Bolts & Blip and Dream Defenders. There would be 30 hours of family friendly 3D content that would be shown on the 3D channel at the time of launch.
Tom Cosgrove , president and CEO 3NET says, “The announcement of a dedicated programming block for kids 7-12 and their families marks another important step forward in our mission to provide compelling, diverse and original 3D TV content to the broadest audience of consumers possible.”
The 3net is actually a joint venture between 24/7 3D network from Sony, Discovery and Imax and would also have on offer other 3D delicacies such as 3D TV premiers of Sony Pictures 3D family films like ‘Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs’, ‘Open Season’ and ‘Monster House.’ Then there would be live-action original series ‘Feeding Time’, the 3net exclusive ‘Puppy Bowl, along with other short-form 3D content that too will be part of the shows to be beamed.
Bolts and Blip has been the work of ToonBox Entertainment developed in partnership with South Korea’s Red Rover and comprises of 26 episodes each spanning 30 minites. The tete-series is all about two robots named FFs Bolts & Blip who strive to become battle-bots and play in the Lunar League of Robotic Sports.
The other series named Dream Defenders is a 26 episode long serial by Tiny Iskand Productions. The story revolves around Zane and Zoey, twins and rivals who serve as the last line of defense between the Real World and the nightmarish creatures of the Dreamworld.
These two serials Bolts & Blip and Dream Defenders would be premiering on September 25th in the prime time slots.
By the end of 2011, 3net plans to have the largest library of 3D content. There is also the Civil War being filmed as a four part series.
