3D TVs take centerstage at the IFA 2010 at Berlin

TV makers have been trying their level best to convince consumers that 3D TV as a technology is here to stay. This year’s Internationale Funkausstellung would be a place where presentations by the TV makers would prove this point.

TechRadar reports that the IFA event held last year that is 2010 was also a mega event where 3D technology was displayed lavishly by industry leaders in this field. There was the device like 3D Blu-ray, video games and Television channels which were showcased at the largest annual gadget show that is ever held in Europe.

Samsung, Sony, Panasonic and other such leading TV makers have already come out with their 3D capable version of the TV. There would be a Playstation 3’s Blu-ray having 3D capability which is expected by Christmas. A European network has also declared that they would be airing an exclusive 3D sports channel

Study of the 3D technology goes on and fresher features are being included every day. There is the LED backlighting technology being adopted by LG in their 3D sets as also the quad-pixel Quattron technology by Sharp and of course Nintendo’s glass free 3D gaming system which be a handheld device.

Retailers from America are also planning to hold “National 3D Demo Days,” this week end in order to further spread the idea of 3D to the general populace. It has also been predicted by the Consumer Electronics Association that by the end of this year there would be 3 million of 3D enabled TV that would make the sales figure. All this is proof about this technology turning popular tat a rapid rate.
