This summer it seems is going to be the battle of 3D TVs as all the bigwigs from the consumer electronics industry have either launched or are in the process of launching their individual offerings in this segment. If that’s not all, some companies are even resorting to throw in a few more goodies in order to sweeten their offering.

Take for instance the case of Sony. Not content with having announced the launch of the 40 in HX803 Bravia 3D TV, Sony has also made it known that there will be fur 3D games up for grabs for PS3 to anyone who decides to take home the Bravia 3D TV. The offer will only be for the early birds though and the games on offer include ‘Wipeout HD, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, PAIN and Super Stardust HD’. Company sources have revealed that PS3 will have its 3D update before the HX803 is released in June. Other models waiting in the wings to be launched later are the LX903 and HX903.

As for the HX803 3D TV, the spec sheet does look impressive. Like a frame rate of 200Hz, 1080p, LED backlighting along with the facility for 2D to 3D conversion.

Well there’s more. Like Sony has also announced that selected 3D products from their stable will come along with 3D Blu-ray discs like either ‘Deep Sea’ or ‘Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs’.

So here’s the deal, a 3D TV which comes bundled with 4 3D games along with the chance of winning a free 3D movie. All this at a price of around £1,400.
